Pamela is not a subscriber to this list, and when someone does not
subscribe to the list their posts wait for me to check and approve them.
Usually this occurs twice daily, but sometimes I go away to places with
no internet :)

Frequently people try the gnucash-devel list instead of the user list.
If it is a user question it is refused, with a note about gnucash-user
and the FAQs given by return mail.

I have no recall of previous attempts by Pamela to post to either of
these lists.

Overall, Windows users are not aware of IRC, email lists and the usual
ways in which the FOSS community communicates. I suspect that it suits
Redmond that their users don't interact with the FOSS community, and
doesn't use any similar methods of communication.

However, if I look at the http://gnucash.org/ page
I clearly see "Need help" directing people to the Mailing lists
and a "Support" list in the left hand column which includes Mailing
Lists and IRC.
If someone thinks this can be presented better to ensure the Pamelas
reach the right place, our motto is "patches welcome"!
