2.6.3 from GetDeb crashing on Ubuntu 14.04

Just to let anyone know, the getdeb installer works perfectly for the latest
v2.6.5 of GNU Cash.

Having played around a few times, I would opt for the manual adding in to
software center followed by running 'update' command.
