Profits and disposable income

Fantastic, thanks David, now that's one expense I hadn't considered  :-)
I realised after I sent it that it was indeed an oversimplification in that
it doesn't take into account reductions in liabilities (e.g. current
mortgage, student loan) that I am required to make and increases in savings
that I may want to / be required to make (e.g. pension contributions).
I'll have more of a think about it...
