Hi Terri,

To get the imbalance in the reconciliation, there has to have been a
transaction recorded which has affected the opening balance since your last
reconciliation. One possible cause is an incorrectly dated entry. You are
looking for one (or more ) transactions for $635 or which total that amount
which affect your checking account.It may have been inserted somewhere prior
to you previously reconciled period as it is affecting the beginning
balance. If that entry actually occurred after the closing date of the
period your are currently reconciling but was recorded at a date before the
end of the previous period it would put the beginning  balance out even
though the account had been previously reconciled
