Show current accounts

Dear community,

I have been using gnucash for a few months now and i really like the
application, thank you for all the hard work you put in there.

One thing that i cannot figure out is the following. I have a nice structure
with accounts and i regularly update with past transactions. More recently,
i have also started to add more and more future transactions (like inserting
all my mortgage payments etc). However, when i now look at the accounts
overview it takes in the balance of all past *and* future transactions. for
example, my mortgage shows zero (since i put in all transactions already)
but i still have a long way to go :)

To summarize: how can i show the account balance of today in the accounts
overview? i know i can run a report but i would prefer to see the status in
the accounts overview.
