Auto complete works by matching the description the most recent previous transaction in that account. If you have an error in a previous transaction's description that's getting pulled into autocomplete, by all means edit that previous transaction.

The main thing to remember is that you don't want to press "Enter" until you're satisfied with a transaction. Use tab to change fields and the arrow keys to move around in a field to edit its contents. If there's a split-level difference between the previous transaction and the new one, use the split button in the toolbar to enter split view so that you can add/remove/edit the splits. If autocomplete offers you a description that isn't what you want just keep typing. As soon as you type a character that doesn't match autocomplete will stop offering.
