register balance column for large numbers won't display cents

Account type is set/displayed in the Edit Account dialog. With the register displayed press control-E (command-E on a Mac) and look in the lower left of the resulting dialog box. While there also check that the "smallest fraction" is set to "Use Commodity Value".
