Hi, Geert.  I'm almost certain that renaming the Gnucash folder and 
allowing it to create a new default configuration resolved the OP's issue.

I'll loose all his customization.  If he cared to he could rename the 
old folder back so that he can assist you in debugging the culprit and 
regain the time spent over the years in creating his most ideal reports.
