GNUCash file size grew nearly 14 times

On 4/1/17, the size of my gnucash file grew nearly 14 times in size, as
follows:

   - Name.20170129210422.gnucash.20170401152428.gnucash (20,971 KB)
   - Name.20170129210422.gnucash.20170401145113.gnucash (1,516 KB)

I'm not sure why, but about a week earlier, I set up insynch for Google
Drive and put all my gnucash files in Google Drive so I can access them
from any PC.

I'd like to reduce the file size so that I don't use up so much cellular
data when syncing.
