Budget Balance Sheet Report Questions

David,

You are correct, the Account has to be in the Budget to have an amount appear in the report.

I added a budget item into one of my Asset Accounts and it showed up in the report with the budgeted amount. I am even more confused about what the report is supposed to do. I don't think it is one that I will use. Now my only concern is that there is something in my budget or my accounts that is generating the 'Unallocated Asset' of $362 and that that may impact something else. I hate unexplained things.

BTW with help from Geert and Peter I now have the YTD Report working in Budget Reports. The 'Total Columns' box does not appear to work, but each Place Holder Account is totaled so not sure I need it anyway.

When I inquired last year about the budget reports so that I could add them to the documentation, I didn't get much information about any of them. If you do get some understanding about how these reports work and how they might be informative, please share back to the group.

I believe that there is a disconnect on this, insofar as the reports can include accounts that are not in the budget, but without clear meaning in the context of the budget. There may or may not be a bug about this, but I don't recall at this moment.
