reverse debit and creit

    Before changing transactions verify that your credit cards are of account type liability:current liability account.  If not first make a backup then change the account type.

Did you really manually enter 3k transactions before realizing they werefaulty?  Or, did you import them and they didn't import to yoursatisfaction?​I might try downloading those transactions from the credit card's web site,and in GnuCash I would test import them into a test account in a duplicateset of books (don't use your original  data file to test on).  See how itgoes.  If it goes correctly, in another duplicate set of books, delete theoffending transactions and import the correct transactions that weredownloaded from the credit card's web site.
