That's not a correct way of doing it, imho.  You did make a sale, but the sale was returned.  Even if it was the same day, a sale was made.  There should be a way to show that.  Actually, this should also be reported in some type of report(s).  This is good business tracking. An item may be a lemon and when you do a quarterly (or yearly) report, say on "Credit Memo" as Adrien suggested, you can see certain items are returned more than others and make business decisions as to whether or not continue to carry them.  Just thinking out-loud... Thanks.
