On my Mac, <Cmd>2 brings up the whole multi-split transaction, then I use the down-arrow to the split of interest, and hit <Cmd>J.
Now I come to think of it, perhaps I customised <Cmd-1> to mean “Basic Ledger”, <Cmd-2> for “Auto-Split Ledger” and <Cmd-3> for “Transaction Journal” some time in the past. This would almost certainly have been the result of a hint on this list.
Is there something else that the OP wanted to achieve?
