[GNC] Lost all data after install

Apologies, hopefully I've replied correctly this time.

It seems that I have skipped several versions and my data is not compatible
with 3.10. I shall do as you suggest, go back to an early version and
upgrade incrementally. I'll start with 2.6 and let you know how I get on.
