[GNC] elementary questions

Hi,

You are obviously concerned about security/privacy with your procedure of
disconnecting from your network. However, you mentioned you still have
Windows 7 which no longer receives security updates and patches. It has
been EOL for almost 2 years!

Patching and updating is one of the first things you should be mindful of.

Windows 10 is much more secure and Windows 11 even more so if you can meet
the hardware requirements.
